Q. On collection what documentation do I require?

A. We will require the Keys, Registration document (V5C), locking wheel nut if your car has alloy wheels. In addition to this we may need to take a proof of identity from yourself also.

Q. When scrapping my car what do I do with the insurance?

A. On collection of your scrap car, we ask that you cancel your car insurance once the car has been collected. If your car insurance is cancelled prior to your car being collected for scrapping then it is illegal for that vehicle to be on public roads.

Q. What if I do not have my V5 document / log book?

A. If you do not have your V5 document then we will ask for a proof of identification to remove your car for scrapping, we will ask you to sign our in house documentation to pass the car to us for legal scrapping. So that we can scrap the car correctly and inform the DVLA.

Q. Do I need to be there when my car is collected?

A. As the vehicle is registered to you, it is not necessary that you are present when we collect your vehicle. So you can ask a member of uyour family / friend or neighbour to be present instead. Provided our driver has access to the car we can take care of the paper work for you including the Certificate of Dedstruction.

Q. How long does it take to remove my car?

A. On average it takes between 5 to 10 minutes to load your car onto our recovery vehicle.

Q. What is a certificate of destruction?

A. A Certificate of Destruction (COD) is a certificate that only a registered Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) can provide you with. It is the legal documentation that proves your car has been recycled and the DVLA have been notified.

Q. What is an A.T.F?

A. Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATF) are licensed sites which have been authorised by the Environment Agency in England & Wales, (SEPA) Scottish Environment Protection Agency or (NIEA) Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

Q. My car is still at the garage. Can you collect from there?

A. Collecting your vehicle from a garage is no problem at all. We can collect from there just as easy as your home or work place if necessary.

Q. Concerns about recycling your scrap car?

A. We are a registered ATF so rest assured that once we've accepted your vehicle for scrap, it will be recycled in line with EU regulations.

Q. Do I need my keys to scrap my car?

A. As long as you inform us before hand this shouldn't be a problem and it will not affect the price of the quote you receive online either.
